PGSD recognized school achievements
PGSD was thrilled to celebrate several of our schools at the October Principals Meeting.
Arlington Elementary is celebrating the exceptional growth of their bottom quartile students in both Reading and Math and increasing their letter grade to an “A”.
Beach Elementary was recognized for continuing to be a top performing school and maintaining its "A" accountability rating. Their achievements include:
Ranked in the Top 1% of 700 point schools in the state
Ranked Top 2% student proficiency in both Reading and Math in the state
Growth in both Math and Reading for their bottom quartile students
Central Elementary was honored for maintaining their “A” rating.
Cherokee Elementary was celebrated for maintaining an "A" rating and achieving an incredible 114-point increase in their accountability score.
Top 2% Statewide of 700 point schools.
Top 1% Statewide for growth in both Reading and Math for their bottom quartile students.
Top 2% Statewide for growth of all students in Math.
Gautier Elementary received honors for being in the top 7% of Reading growth of all students and maintaining their “A” rating.
Jackson Elementary was commemorated for elevating their accountability rating from a “B” to an “A”. They earned special recognition for being in the top 1% of the state for both Reading growth of all students and Reading growth of their bottom quartile students.
Lake Elementary received honors for being ranked in the top 6% of the 700 point schools in the state with an increase of 71 points. Their growth scores for the bottom quartile in Math and Reading were in the top 1% and 3% respectively, and they maintained their “A” rating.
Trent Lott Academy was acknowledged for their hard work as evident by their letter grade increase from a “C” to a “B”.
Pascagoula High School has been recognized for the growth scores of the bottom quartile in Math and Reading in the top 1% and 2% respectively, and they maintained their “A” rating for 1000 point schools in the state.
