My name is Lisa Rex and I am the Principal of the Pascagoula-Gautier Opportunity Center.  This is my third year at the POC, and I absolutely love my secondary “babies.”  Prior to this, I was an elementary principal and Lead Teacher in Pascagoula.   My roots are in the Garden State of New Jersey where I served as an Pk-8 Administrator, Reading Coach and Teacher.  I have also worked in corporate America as an Assignment Editor for Fox-News.  All of my experiences have brought me to my current reality…educating, shaping and empowering young people to become the best versions of themselves as productive citizens.  Even on the hardest day, I would not trade this journey with young people.

My most important journey is at home with my husband, two daughters and little poodle.  I am grateful to God for the chance to impact their lives, as well as my charges at the POC.  I will continually sow “seeds” into their lives.  As the word says, “But some of the seed fell on good ground. There it grew and made grain. Some plants made 100 times more grain, some 60 times more, and some 30 times more." I expect a harvest.
